About Lilac

Two teachers, one shared belief.

Lilac Education was started by Alan Wood and Louise Double, who met while teaching and quickly realised they wanted the same thing for young people. Between them they have spent more than forty years in the classroom, and they have never lost the belief that children do their best work when they feel safe, valued and genuinely excited to learn.
